Millions available for Water Recycling Projects

All water on planet earth is recycled, we are using and reusing the same water that circulated the planet when the dinosaurs roamed the earth.

Water recycling is a natural process that without modern day technologies takes years to recirculate.

Today we have advanced technologies that allow wastewater to be converted to drinking water, reuse water used for irrigation and landscaping, and remove containments from various sources of water that can ultimately be used for consumption. The cost of financing water recycling treatment facilities can be offset by applying for low-interest loans and grants through the State Water Resources Control Board’s (SWRCB) Water Recycling Funding Program (WRFP).

With the FY 2015-16 State Budget in place, more than $1 billion in combined state and federal funding is available for agencies interested in applying for funding. The money that is available through the SWRCB is a combination of funding from the Federal Government’s Clean Water Revolving Loan Fund program, and appropriations from the recently passed Proposition 1 (water bond, 2014).

If you are an agency interested in learning more about the guidelines and how to successfully apply for funding through the Water Recycling Funding Program, contact Principle Strategic Advisors. I can assist you with project development, working with the SWRCB, and creating an application.

There has never been a better time to think about funding opportunities for your water recycling facility.
